Silverboom Shiraz-Merlot is a particularly soft and full-bodied wine with plenty of South Africa's sunshine and warmth in every glass. In the fragrance there is a wealth of wild berries and liquorice together with a fine hint of spice. In the taste, you are met with the same tones as from the fragrance, supplemented here by the complex flavour of pepper and fine, firm tannins together with a long lingering aftertaste. Silverboom can be enjoyed right away but can also tolerate being stored for up to five years from its harvest year.

Winemaking
From grape
to bottle
Dedicated and specialist winemakers have carefully selected the Shiraz and Merlot grapes for this wonderfully powerful wine. The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity to ensure a wine with plenty of juice, intensity and strength. Silverboom Shiraz-Merlot is fermented up to an alcohol content of 15%. The fermentation is then stopped in order to achieve a wine that displays a fine balance of the concentration in the taste and a pleasant sweetness in the finish.
